Chèr Diary,
Sorry for not updating you for a while, but you can’t blame me for that while I’m in Paris. Life in Paris has been fantabulicious despite the 90 degree weather. What I really don’t understand is how the French can manage wearing long-sleeve suits in this weather and still no time to invest in deodorant?
Imagine: It’s 6pm and you’re on the subway to go home for a nice cold shower after a long, hot, sweaty day (because the place you work at or study at probably does not have AC, just because), you have to get into this old subway system where everyone crams into the train trying to do the same, but the difference is instead of deodorant you smell body odor. All different kinds and sorts of body odor, filling up the hot humid summer air. Hashtag my life.
But I still love Paris; I just probably will avoid the summer time from now on. Paris really did not stand out to me this summer. I thought since it’s sales season here, I’d be doing a lot of shopping, but I didn’t realize that all the tourists in the world are thinking the same as me. The amount of tourists that are currently sharing the same air as me in Paris is craymazing.
At this point I really do believe the blood in my body has been replaced by macaroons and Rosé wine (especially Côte de Provence). I’ve been doing 50 sit ups in the morning and at night, but these calories just don’t go away!! Oh well, I regret nothing. As always, I let the pictures say more than my words in my blog posts, so voilà here’s my life. Bisous bisous :*

Studies here in Paris have been pretty intense as well. I’m currently taking “Introduction to Design and Management” at #ParsonsParis. Wanting to take an intense graphic design class to improve my art direction skills, I was at shock at the first day of school when I learned there will be no Photoshop involved in the class. Instead, this is an philosophical design class where we learn how to visualize and design business plans with S.W.O.T.T. analysis to breakdown each aspects of a company, know what the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, etc. are. To learn a whole business class in 3 weeks is almost impossible, so our class is very project-based, by doing readings on our own with hands-on projects and presentations, critics in class, I feel invincible.
We are now working on our last project, where we create a future-oriented business plan for our entrepreneurial idea with a storyboard of a series of actions of our business. This probably is one of the most valuable classes I’ve taken, and I’m glad I’m taking it in Paris (duh)!
With one week of class/Europe left, I believe the chorus of this song sums up my feelings:
“WORK HARD, PLAY HARD, WORK HARD, PLAY HARD”
Summer has been absolutely incredible, and I am so grateful for all the opportunities I’ve been so lucky to have.
Thanks for reading my beautiful blog, honey boos.
*Kisses on the cheeks*
